Lohri Vibes

We all know about Lohri. There are a lot of movies and speculations where people say it’s a mandatory tradition for the newborns, majorly baby boys and newly married couples.  Ever wonder if that is the truth? Lohri FACT :  First of all, “NO” Lohri is not just all about that!  Lohri is a popular winter Punjabi folk festival more of a “harvest festival” truly. Everyone loves the bonfire tradition. It is believed that gathering around the bonfire and taking rounds around it is auspicious,  people gather around the bonfire, throw til (sesame seeds), gur (jaggery), sugar-candy, rewri (sesame sweets), and popcorn into the flames while singing traditional songs and performing folk dances like the Bhangra and Gidda.
